Plan on studying for more than 12 weeks or 3 months? Then you’ll need a student visa.

Here is the information you’ll need to scan and send to Immigration New Zealand for your student visa:

  • Are you under 18? Then you’ll need to ask your Dunedin education institution to provide a letter saying that suitable accommodation is available for you
  • Your offer of place from your Dunedin education institution. Also known as your acceptance or enrolment letter, this document lets immigration know you have been accepted to study in Dunedin
  • Proof that you have enough money for your living costs while living and studying in Dunedin
  • Proof that you have a return airline ticket back home – or the money to buy one.
