Anything Could Happen exhibition is a snapshot from a selection of contemporary artists and designers working in Dunedin or working elsewhere with strong connections to Dunedin. The exhibition called for submissions from any artist or designer with a commercial track record, there was no overriding theme or look, instead we sought to compile a collection of works which represents the diversity, quality and connectivity of the many artists and designers who call, or who have called, Dunedin home. Our independent panel selected the works in the show and that they hang together so well, with obvious aesthetic and intellectual connection to each other which says a lot about the creative energy of our city.
These artists and designers are excited to have their work shown in Shanghai and especially at Yu Yuan. They of course hope that collectors, agents and dealers will notice them but equally they hope that through this show the artists, designers and curators of Shanghai feel the call to engage with them.
We hope that you enjoy the exhibition and that you visit the website to read more about the artists and make contact with them. They will welcome invitations to collaborate in Shanghai or with Shanghai people, and we welcome Shanghai to send their artists, designers and artworks to Dunedin soon.
